Whilst her wedding was not what Gabriella had imagined when Stuart knelt down in the sand of Botany Bay to propose in the spring of 2019: she does wonder if it may have been meant to be.
Stuarts proposal was not his last, as his second challenge was to secure the approval of Gabriella's mother, who happily gave it. So Gabriella, who had two holy communions as a child (one in Polish, one in English) now had two proposals. Perhaps she was always destined for two weddings!
The first was an intimate & relaxed day with eight guests. The second will bring all of their friends and family together in 2022 for an extravagant party in Provence. The couples first wedding day started in style with a champagne breakfast in bed at Flemings Mayfair, followed by a civil ceremony in the elegant grandeur of Marylebone Town Hall.
Gabriella's inspiration for her bridal colour palette was a combination of Californian desert hues, a nod to her extended family in Los Angeles, and the changing colours of September in London. Her cream Ghost London suit was pared with an LA-style inspired wide-brimmed hat. Tones of gold, nude & ivory were complimented perfectly by creamy Quicksand roses, highlighted with hints of russet-coloured seasonal foliage. Her look was completed with a Gucci bag & studded Valentino sandals.
The combination of Californian colours, London elegance and 70's inspired tailoring (& of course some luxurious blooms) made for one of the coolest just married couples photo shoots we've ever seen! Gabriella's advice for other couples is to consider what is most important for you as a couple, and do what feels authentic to you. 'If you want to wait, then wait. Or marry now, and party later!'
