  • A rose is a woody perennial flowering plant of the genus Rosa, in the family Rosaceae.

    Most species are native to Asia, with some native to Europe, North America, and Africa.

  • Roses also have a renowned fragrance that is loved by all and so is commonly seen in perfumes. The perfumes are made from rose oil which is obtained by steam distilling the crushed petals of roses.  In addition to rose oil, this can also be seen around the world as 'rose water' which is used in cosmetics, cooking and medicine.

  • Roses are the most commonly used wedding flower due to their romantic meaning and they are the perfect flower to work into floral designs and installations. They typically bloom in late May so they are ready in time for wedding season.
